Happy Easter to all our children, parents and carers
On Wednesday, we held our annual Easter Service at St.Stephen’s Church, accompanied by our wonderful orchestra and Tim Wilford.
Year Four delighted us with their Easter pageant, taking us from the Last Supper to the Crucifixion. The beautiful and moving performances really brought home to us the real message of Easter.
Special thanks fo the orchestra who came to the rescue after a technical hitch with the music. Completely unflustered (and in the spirit of overcoming the unexpected) the children sang a capella style along with a joyful congregation, to celebrate the most important festival in the Christian calendar, commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. A special moment was shared as the children signed the Lord’s Prayer, following the practice in class this term.
Many thanks to Mr Wilford (a former St Stephens’ parent) who has ensured generations of children get to play in an orchestra at primary school. No mean feat! The gifted musicians delighted us, along with Mr Munn and Miss Cooper.
Extra applause to the wonderful Year Four staff and children who rounded our term off with such a wonderful Easter show
Happy Easter to all our children, parents and carers. Have a peaceful and restorative break.
See you all back in school on April 23rd.
