St Stephen's

Building Each Other Up in Love and Learning

On Wednesday, we held our annual Easter Service at St. Stephen’s Church, accompanied by our wonderful orchestra and Tim Wilford. Along with a joyful congregation, we joined in song and prayer to celebrate the most important festival in the Christian calendar, commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

This year’s service was led by our Year 4’s who performed the Easter Story with huge enthusiasm and conviction. Our lead actors Tom, Annabel, and Otis lead a cast of 60 to tell the tale of the crucifixion and resurrection or Christ - from the traitor in the Temple to the Last Supper and the capture of Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane.  The story was accompanied by traditional Easter hymns such as Sing Hosanna, Shine, Jesus Shine and Lord of the Dance.

A huge thanks to St. Stephen’s Church for having us, to Miss Lyth, Mrs Green and Mrs Dempsey for all their hard work and of course, to our wonderful players for their splendid performance.

Everyone at St. Stephen’s School would like to wish all our parents and carers a fun-filled, action-packed and restful Easter Holiday.
