FOSS Quiz Night Fun
The names of eight current Premier League football teams can be found in the station names of the TFL Tube Map. (It includes DLR, Overground and London Trams.) Can you name them?
Some 120 quizzers battled it out on Friday night at our annual FOSS quiz. There were 50 questions in five rounds: General Knowledge; Entertainment; Odd One Out; Quiz Sums; and Music. Plus a picture round. The winners were Raymonde’s Review Club (3R), second place went to Brexit Schexit (5DT) and Who’s 4T? (4T) came third.
The total amount raised for the school is yet to be revealed, as we are waiting on an invoice, but can say that the Heads or Tails game raised an impressive £350 in donations. Thank you to the quizzers for their amazing generosity.
And a big thank you to all the people who helped get the hall and bar ready during the day, and to those who helped on the night – it is a big event, and 12 people worked to make the night the success it was. Project managers were John Soames and Marian Sheil Tankard, and compère was John Moylan.
The coveted biscuit winners’ medals came from Enchanted Bakes. And thanks to Kate and her staff for lending us tables and helping us with the booze order.
Those Premier Club names, by the way, are Liverpool (Street), Tottenham (Vale or Court Road), Arsenal, Watford, Leicester (Square), West Ham, Crystal Palace and Fulham (Broadway).
