St. Stephen’s is looking to appoint a proactive, well-organised Communications Officer to liaise between pupils, parents, stakeholders, new admissions and the local community.
The right candidate will be an energetic and enthusiastic addition to the front desk team, acting as the first port of call for children and parents seeking further information about our school. They must be a competent writer with an acute attention to detail. They should be able to reflect the vast range of activities and events within the school in an engaging and positive way, across a variety of comms materials. These include letters home, emails, newsletters, prospectus, tweets and website articles. In addition, they will be responsible for updating the school website and would ideally be able to use a range of software to develop communications with the community. An understanding of content management systems and database management would be useful - but not essential - as training can be given. Overall, they must have the ability to use their initiative and think on their feet, in a busy and vibrant school environment.
The job is part time, 5 days a week from 1.15pm - 5.15pm - term time only. First Aid training and other career development opportunities are also throughout the academic year available.
