Sensory challenges for autistic pupils
Phoebe Caldwell is an Intensive Interaction practitioner working mainly with autistic children and adults, and the author of many books including The Anger Box: Sensory turmoil and pain in autism. In this article Phoebe explores the sensory challenges that autistic pupils may face in the classroom, and outlines ways in which staff can reduce sensory overload.

The SEND Team will be holding two coffee morning events each year for parents of children and young people with an Education, Health and Care Plan in Year 8 and below.
The upcoming coffee morning for year 8 and below will be held on Friday 6 December, 10 - 11.30am, at 'The Venue' Heatham House, Twickenham TW1 1BH.
The focus of this event will be on Annual Reviews.
