Building Each Other Up in Love and Learning

Vacancies - We need you!

FOSS NEEDS YOU!

We’d like to expand our FOSS Support Team! If you have any free time during the week, every so often and are able to offer some of it to FOSS, we would love to hear from you. Beyond coordinating a fundraising project, there are often small  tasks that need to be done to support our school and FOSS events - whether it’s coordinating prizes, sorting out sports kits, arranging printing, sorting out the PTA shed, collecting food and drink for events, helping to set up for FOSS events, putting up posters etc. By signing up, you’ll be added to our FOSS Support Team WhatsApp Group where we’ll post ad hoc tasks from time to time. If you can help, you can simply let us know on the group with a quick message and we’ll get in touch with more details. There’s no obligation to do everything and nothing involves a regular commitment. Occasionally we might use the group as an initial sounding board for FOSS ideas – maybe arrange the odd coffee morning for the group to brainstorm ideas – but again, attending isn’t compulsory. If you’re interested in joining our FOSS Support team, then please email me at tracey.j.butcher@gmail.com.

Thanks so much from the FOSS Team x

Events / Projects where we need your help!

Wellbeing Evening – We’re planning to run a Wellbeing Evening  - the event will feature guest speakers, demonstrations, treatments and advice around all areas of well-being – nutrition, mindfulness, sleep, exercise, yoga, stress and anxiety management. We would love to hear from anyone who can either contribute to the programme, would like to help us organize it or if you have any ideas for this event! Please do get in touch with myself (tracey.j.butcher@gmail.com) or Avril Cassel (avrilc1@Hotmail.com).

FOSS Fun Run – In the Summer term we would like organise a Fun Run for the children. We have two amazing parents (Graeme Walker and Katherine Merrifield) already leading on this event, but we will need a team of people to help coordinate the event, seek sponsorship, help run it on the day -  Please get in touch if you’re interested (tracey.j.butcher@gmail.com).

Bags2School – This organisation is the UK’s leading textile recycler. Textile collection schemes such as this one help to reduce the volume of textiles discarded as municipal solid waste. We’ll be asking parents to donate any unwanted clothes, shoes, handbags, jewellery, and more and the school will receive a donation from Bags2School based on the weight of our donation. We have a date confirmed in May for collection and would really appreciate 2 or 3 volunteers to coordinate this project. Please let me know if you’re interested.
