On Monday April 29th can you go 'Plastic Free for a Day'?
We need your help! This half term we will continue to teach the children about the use of plastics and the impact on the environment and as part of this, we will be creating a different challenge each week.
The first challenge will be Monday April 29th when we will be encouraging everyone to go 'Plastic Free for a Day'.
On this day, where possible, please can you avoid sending any single use plastic into school. This includes items such as plastic cutlery, plastic packaging and wrappers, single use water bottles, plastic straws, cling film or sandwich bags, etc.
Instead, it would be great if you can use alternatives such as paper bags, cartons, paper straws or reusable water bottles.
Of course, in today's modern world we understand that it's tricky to find convenient, cost-effective options, so we hope that the challenge will allow us to share some clever ideas for ditching plastic and replacing it with natural, bio-degradable alternatives.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to speak to your class teacher.
Many thanks for your support on this important issue.
