Parent Helpers & Volunteers
We are always delighted to welcome visitors to our school, especially if they are getting involved and helping out! Parents and carers who would like to take part, can help in the following ways:
Helping in class and the school library
Volunteers who come in regularly and work with children must be DBS checked. This is a simple process which can be arranged via the School Business Manager.

If you are already in possession of a current St. Stephen's DBS, please bring your DBS certificate in on your first visit.
If not, please provide the office with 3 x pieces of ID so that we can progress a DBS check, acceptable document guidance can be found here
On arrival, please report to the School Office where you will be asked to:
Sign In at Reception
Show the School office your Safeguarding Training Certificate or ask them to check the school system
Provide your DBS certificate and number
You will then be provided with a DBS lanyard
Our office staff will provide essential H&S information on Fire evacuations, Lockdowns and Critical Incidents.
Helping on school trips
We welcome parent / carer helpers to join us on school trips, to assist us ensuring our children have a safe and enjoyable day.
If you are helping on a trip you must read the following information:

Trip Risk Assessment (the lead teacher will provide the risk assessment in a pre-trip briefing)
