Campaign for Female Education
You may remember Year 3s wonderful pizza sale in the playground last month.
We are delighted to announce that the money raised was donated - on request of the children - to CAMFED - the Campaign for Female Education.
CAMFED invests in girls and women in the poorest rural communities in sub-Saharan Africa, where girls face acute disadvantage, and where their empowerment is now transforming communities.
This is an international non-profit organisation tackling poverty and inequality by supporting marginalized girls to go to school and succeed, and empowering young women to step up as leaders of change. It has already supported 3.3 million children to go to school, with nearly 140,000 young women in the CAMA alumnae network leading the charge.
Mr Haycroft and Mrs Raymonde, received this card from the charity shortly after making the donation.
