The summer holiday can be a difficult time for families with autistic children. Whether the family goes away for some of the summer or stays at home, the change in routine can be a challenge.
This week we joined hundreds of thousands of pupils and teachers across the country in celebrating School Diversity Week (2-6 July 2018).
Reception was a treacherous place today as our Reception children staged a mutiny aboard the Jolly Starfish and the Jolly Turtle! Great fun was had by all and the atmosphere was helped by the continuing dry weather which gave the outdoor classroom a distinctive desert island feel!
On Wednesday, seven members of Year 4: Phe, Sefi, Annabel, Tilly, Benny, Lexie and Ella competed against 20 borough schools in the Battle of the Books. The children worked extremely hard all year, studying 10 novels in total. And wasn’t it worth it!
School Nurse, Charlie Pratten will be in the Art Room at 9am for a Anxiety Workshop on Wednesday, June 27th.
We are so grateful for the fantastic response from parents and children alike to our participation in Clean Air Day this year.

Further to the Mayor’s Clean Air Audit, we are delighted to be taking part in Clean Air Day 2018! Following on from the success of the first ever National Clean Air Day, the nationwide awareness-raising campaign will return on June 21st, 2018.
Sir Vince Cable and Blue Peter’s Chris Collins joined our Reception Classes on Friday morning to recycle our old sandpit into a beautiful ‘Bug and Bog Garden’.
The plants and materials were donated by Octopus Energy, thanks to a nomination from one of our parents. This meant we were able to re-purpose an old sandpit from the Reception Outdoor Classroom and turn it into a beautiful haven for wildlife, filled with plants, flowers and cosy areas for wildlife to set up home.

Unfortunately, due to a signal failure, there are no trains to Richmond. This means our Year 6s hd to travel back to school by bus. They have just arrived back at school.
