FOSS money and how it will be spent…
Thanks again for all your continued support for our events and fundraising. We are looking to have raised a significant amount for our school by the end of the academic year and it’s down to each and every one of you.
With regards to how we are planning to spend it, we’ve currently got our list of priorities / wish-list from St. Stephen’s and we thought we’d share this with you so that everyone can see why we’re working so hard to raise funds for the school.
Playground maintenance and repairs. We have a number of repairs and maintenance to make in the school playground - from revamping and relining the rubber matting, to replacing some parts of the wooden areas. It’s vitally important that the apparatus and equipment continues to remain safe and robust for years to come.
Playground reading room. We are also looking to purchase a Reading Room structure for the playground where children can sit and read or draw. We’ve already started looking at suitable cabins and sheds and we hope to have this in place as soon as possible.
IT. In addition, we are currently waiting for the school to complete an IT tender, so we can help with the technology costs of a new server, wifi system and related computing hardware. As soon as we get the go-ahead, we will be helping them contribute towards the considerable cost of this (around £20,000 or thereabouts). This will help our children ensure that they are exposed to the latest learning opportunities and cutting edge educational packages, as well as maintaining the security of our children’s information.
None of this would be possible without your continued support and we are so grateful for all the support we receive from our fabulous parents.
