A 'tropical' day out at Kew!
5L wrapped up warm for a blustery afternoon at Kew Gardens on Tuesday where they learnt all about rainforests.
The Year Fives attended the ‘KeyStage 2 Rainforests: People and Plants talk’ which involved a multi-sensory journey through the Kew Gardens’ living rainforest in the Palm House.
The children had the chance to get up close to the gardens’ vast array of rainforest artefacts and explore the links between people and plants.
"It was really, really fun," Benny told us. "It was fascinating, we learnt about loads of plants thought to be extinct and are only at Kew Gardens. There were loads of amazing tropical fish and turtles too."
