St. Stephen's Fire...
Our Year 2 children created some intricate model houses over Christmas and this week, we happily destroyed them!
The houses were part of a project, supporting history work on Great Fire of London. Also linked to Design & Technology and Literacy, the houses were modelled on those from 1666 and helped us to create our very own Pudding Lane.
After the children excitedly brought their constructions into school, they were on display in the lower corridor until they were arranged in the playground.
Once in formation, our Year 2s took a gentle stroll through the mediaeval buildings before positioning themselves at a safe distance, so Mr Plant could raze them to the ground.
